What Does Absolute Collagen Do?

Absolute Collagen is an award-winning marine collagen drink. It contains premium marine collagen and enriched with Vitamin C, which is essential for collagen synthesis. It provides the highest amount of collagen in the smallest dose on the market, and works by entering the bloodstream and stimulating the body’s natural collagen production. Each sachet contains 8000mg of hydrolysed collagen, perfectly measured and ready-mixed for your daily dose.

Absolute Collagen has a very low Dalton weight, which means the molecules have been chemically broken down to an incredibly small size and can easily pass into the bloodstream and be utilised effectively by the body in boosting its own collagen production. What Does Maxerum Do?

Maxerum is a powerhouse serum, clinically proven to reduce wrinkles by 18% and increase skin firmness by 28% in just 28 days! It was developed over two years to perfectly complement Absolute Collagen’s collagen drink. Maxerum is dermatologist-approved, vegan, cruelty-free, and kind to skin.

Whereas the sachets work from inside the body, entering the bloodstream and getting to work internally, Maxerum is a topical product, which means it is designed to be applied on top of the skin. The important distinction between collagen supplements and collagen-boosting products is that a collagen supplement won’t work externally on the skin, as it won’t be able to get into the bloodstream and directly trigger the body’s collagen production. Maxerum collagen-boosting serum, however, works by caring for the skin externally, boosting fibroblast production, which in turn helps collagen creation.

Maxerum contains four incredible active ingredients:

• Matrixyl 3000 combats photo-aging and prompts aging skin to behave like young skin. A study by Croda found that Matrixyl 3000 delayed photo-induced aging by 5½ years in just 2 months, making it the perfect ingredient for our fabulous anti-aging serum.
• Matrixyl Synthe 6™ evens out skin and smoothes wrinkles by rebuilding the skin from the inside out. In a study by Croda, participants saw a 105% increase in fibroblast productivity, which is really important because fibroblasts create collagen, elastin and fibronectin - so while a topical serum can’t create collagen itself, it can increase your fibroblast productivity to indirectly boost collagen creation.
• Bakuchiol is a new and exciting plant-derived alternative to retinol. It’s all-natural and vegan friendly, and the big news is that it doesn’t cause any of retinol’s common side effects such as photosensitivity, dryness, peeling and irritation - while still replicating retinoid binding mechanisms! This is great news for sensitive skin types, and also means you can apply Maxerum during the day - in fact, we recommend applying it both morning and night.
• Hyaluronic acid is a powerful hydrating ingredient - although some people find the name misleading, as you don’t expect acids to be hydrating! This powerhouse ingredient is already present in our skin as part of our body’s natural moisture retention, helping our skin stay supple and moisturised. Hyaluronic acid delivers ultra smoothing hydration that soaks in without leaving any oily residue on the skin, which is why we just had to include it in Maxerum. Fun fact: just a single gram of hyaluronic acid can hold up to six litres of water!
