Absolute Collagen TV Advert – Behind the Scenes

Yes you read that correctly, Absolute Collagen will be coming to a screen near you very soon… with our first ever TV advert!!

Our co-founder Maxine Laceby founded Absolute Collagen in 2017 in her very own kitchen after experimenting with chicken broth, quickly realising just how amazing the results were for her skin, hair and nails using the collagen produced.

Fast forward 5 years later and Absolute Collagen has gained some incredible achievements including: a community with thousands of Absoluters, a portfolio of prestigious awards, features in leading publications and now… our very own TV campaign!

In the build up to the release of our first ever TV advertisement, we went behind the scenes on location in Manchester, and captured some exclusive footage and interviews for our fabulous Absoluters to see before we go live.

Giving back to our Absoluters

One of the biggest aims for our TV campaign was to include people who represent the values and identity of Absolute Collagen, and so what better way to do this than to cast some of our very own Absoluters.

We wanted to include customers of ours who have experienced the benefits of Absolute collagen for themselves. So, we cast 5 of our long-term subscribers and invited them to the shoot to be the shining stars of the advert.

From mums to models, CEO’s to swimmers, check out the video below where our co-founder Darcy interviewed some of these incredible ladies.

Director’s Cut

The cast may be front and centre, but the crew behind the cameras also worked their magic to make this all possible.

Our creative director Meriem Adib spoke to us about why she wanted to work with us and what her vision for the shoot was;

“I’m working on your lovely ad which I think is very inspiring and relatable. We’re shooting 30 second clips of 6 incredible women who are also Absoluters. As an Absoluter myself, I love the vibe of your product and I like making women feel really good about themselves. What is great about Absolute Collagen is that it does exactly that - makes us feel good about ourselves and that is super important”.

From the garage office to primetime TV

Lastly, all of this would not have been possible without our fantastic co-founders Maxine and Darcy who brought the dream to life.

We interviewed Darcy on set, asking her what the vision behind the advert was and why she thinks this was the perfect time to take Absolute Collagen onto the big screen.

“This campaign is all about empowerment and being your absolute best self. If you’d asked us 5 years ago about where Absolute Collagen would be, having our own TV ad would definitely not have even been thought about. But, we are very fortunate to be where we are today, which is why we thought it was the perfect time to progress with this campaign.” - Darcy Laceby
