Maxine's October Round-Up: Content Series Launch, Brilliant Breakfast and Halloween Fun!
We are getting in the full swing of Autumn now, days are getting shorter, nights are darker and it is definitely getting chillier! At AC, we embrace these colder months 💪 So, read on to find out what exciting things we’ve been up to this month!
Skincare Launch Party
As you all know by now, we launched our Deep Lift Skincare Range in September. This has been such a journey, two years in the making and it truly could not have been possible without our fabulous team at AC. We wanted to recognise all the hard work and dedication the team has put into this launch, so we hosted a wonderful party for everyone at Bank in Birmingham! It was such a lovely night, it was so great to meet the team's friends and families and you can bet I put on my dancing shoes! 🪩 Oh and of course, everything was yellow in true Absolute Collagen style! I feel so proud and lucky to have a team that supports us the way they do. They deserve to feel important, to feel respected and they deserve to have fun! What a fabulous night! 🌟
Content Series Launch
This month, we did something different at Absolute Collagen. We launched our first ever content series titled Strong In Your Skin, an extension of our brilliant campaign to empower others. Hosted by the incredible Emma Willis, she sits down with extraordinary people to talk about their amazing stories of strength. In my particular episode with Darcy, we dive into something that I have never spoken about before publicly, maybe because I felt ashamed and didn’t quite understand why I felt the way I did. It was only until I could reflect back to that time and understand that my life was being affected by menopause. I realise now it was such an important part of my journey that had to be shared because if I can help just one person then it’s all worth it. Prince’s Trust Brilliant Breakfast
In October, the lovely Julie Bates and I host our annual Brilliant Breakfast to raise money for the Prince’s Trust. It was so lovely to have the wonderful Loretta Hope join us and give a speech on how the Prince’s trust helped her start her business. She is such an inspiring and incredible woman! As a long standing patron of the Prince’s Trust, I hold this charity so close to my heart and admire everything they do for the young people of this country. It truly is outstanding. Woman of the Year Awards
This month I had an incredible opportunity to be the keynote speaker for the Woman Of The Year Awards in Birmingham. It was an absolute honour to speak in front of 700 inspirational women and I will be forever thankful that they asked little old me to talk about my journey as a female entrepreneur. I ended my speech with a poem I wrote to show women that they are more than enough and to embrace their true authentic selves. So, I thought that I would share it with you all…
Halloween!
For halloween at AC this year, we were given the spooky task of dressing up at the office. Of course I had to be the devil! 👻 Aside from the fact it was Halloween, I assumed it would be a normal day in the office. Oh boy was I wrong! I walked through the door to find the team waiting for me in Maxine masks!! Never did I expect to see 30 Maxines in one room! 🤣 Now I know how Emma Willis felt on that day we met on the Coppafeel! Trek. How funny! 😅
